4.23 Exchange of Time
Time-Based Graphic Design Study
Project Brief
4:23 Exchange of Time is an academic design project that examines the value of time and how it is exchanged, wasted, and used in my everyday life. Each page was created in exactly 4 minutes and 23 seconds, reflecting the average amount of time in hours I spend on social media. By limiting both time and materials, the project challenged me to think about how I use my time. Over 60 of these artworks were created filling an entire sketchbook; something I never do because of lack of… time.

Lessons Learned
I learned that time can either be wasted or used intentionally. Setting a time limit on my work surprised me as my process became faster and more organic. I realized that I need to overthink less and take more action, and that creative constraints actually help me create better.
